Do you know Sean
Well what can I say I am an unusal guy with lots of
different interests. Halloween as you know was a yearly event, but I was also heavily involved with mid-eastern percussion and performance. Most would call it belly dancing. I started at the age of eleven
and even studied with a few big names. I performed with the Mecca Caravan for the first 10 years of my career and later with Isis and the stardancers the latter half. The stardancers have been a regular act at Scarborough faire since its beginnings. I performed out there for 10 years. Of course most people will rarely notice a drummer due to bare stomachs and whirling beads and scarves from the dancers costumes. I am retired since I have no real time to devote to this interest anymore. I have handed the reins over to my brother Matt who will be out at S.F. this season.
I also enjoy trains and model railroading. I am a diehard Union Pacific fan and will drive for miles to see both of the steam locomotives they still run. My son also loves trains and Thomas the tank engine. He is very smart and usually surprise the old folks with his knowledge of trains, he has moved past calling them choo choo's and knows the technical name for many different locomotives. My daughter has also been learning her locomotive names and I can't wait for her to show off for the old guys at the hobby shop. Although my hobby is on hold due to our house being on the market I have plans to develop a new track plan and a new layout. We also already know the schedule of train activity for the year and plan on doing some railfan trips. Were also thinking of riding the Texas state railroad this year as its been in some financial trouble and who knows how long it will be around, so I urge any of you to get out there and ride it!
I also love Scottish and Irish anything ( well maybe not the food ). I love to wear a kilt to just about any event or place and have found a few traces of Irish and Scottish ancestry. I am thinking of learning the bag pipes this summer so we will see how it goes.If you guys want to make an entrance and have the ladies gasp hoot and holler than strap on a kilt and wear it with pride!
So there are a few tidbits of info about me. My wife is the greatest and supports me in most everything I do. My main goal in life is to live as Jesus would and care for my family. I love my children more than anything in the world and love sharing my interests with them, they are gifts from God. So thats all I have for now any questions feel free to ask.
